Choosing the Colour of Your Wedding Dress
Most people associate wedding dresses with the colour white, but with new colours and shades on the catwalk showing up more often, it is now possible to choose a different shade of dress. Remember that white is not the only shade you can choose from, and even if you do decide to stick to a more traditional colour, you will have quite a range of choice of hues and shades. • If you are a bit of an English rose and your skin tone is very fair, you should really stay away from snow-white dress colours, as they can make you look too pale and washed out. Stick to ivory tones or very light yellow, these will look best on photographs. It is also possible to look fantastic in a very light pink, but stay away from blue hues.
• If you have a medium skin tone that is able to tan nicely in the sun without burning, a creamy or ivory hue is best. You will also be able to wear light blue hues, but stay away from pink or snowy white. • Those who have fair skins with yellow undertones are fortunate enough to look great in traditional white or champagne shades, but stay away from ivory, as this will emphasise the yellow undertones and you may look washed out on your wedding pics!
