Shopping for Wedding Dresses During Lockdown: We Still Make It Possible

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on every aspect of our lives, especially our social activities. All major events have been put on hold for the time being, and brides who were looking to celebrate their wedding with family and friends are left wondering when and how they should go about planning their special day. What makes it more complicated is that standard order lead times take a few months, and there is simply no way to know when the best time might be to shop for wedding dresses. Here at Timeless Bridal Couture, we believe that early shopping is the best way to prepare for your big day during these uncertain times, which is why we are still open for consultations.

How to Feel Prepared

As the bride, it is your desire for everything to flow smoothly without a hitch, which means having a clear timeline and getting tasks done timeously during the planning phase. Due to the current lockdown restrictions in the country, setting established plans in place is incredibly difficult, and you might not yet know when or how the day you have dreamt of since childhood will take place. One aspect of the journey you do have control over, however, is how early you shop for wedding dresses. With us, normal order lead times are between 12 and 16 weeks, and a bride’s ideal fitting period is at least six to eight weeks before the ceremony. This means that booking your consultation a few months in advance and selecting your gown early offers peace of mind, no matter when you decide to get married. Your final fitting with us will be one to two weeks before your big day, so you can rest assured that you look breathtaking walking down the aisle.

How We Keep You Safe

We have put several precaution measures in place to ensure the health and safety of all our staff and each valued client. We screen every client, take their temperature, encourage handwashing, make hand sanitiser freely available, provide staff and clients with disposable gloves, and ensure staff, brides, and guests wear facial masks and maintain social distancing guidelines at all times. Each bride is limited to two guests per consultation and will be allowed to try on as many wedding dresses as she would like during her one-and-a-half-hour appointment.
